Spiritual nakedness is a term that describes when a Christian is in a vulnerable state in the spirit.

It describes a child of God who has been robbed or ripped of their confidence, safety, and authority in the spirit.

It is one of the most violent attacks from the kingdom of darkness to cause an unsuspecting child of God to lose their covering, credibility, and power in Christ.

In today’s blog post, we shall be streamlining the causes of spiritual nakedness, evidence of its presence in the life of a believer, and solution to such attacks from the devil.

May God grant us grace to obtain light and victory from every attack of the devil through His word in Jesus’ name.

There are three main causes of spiritual nakedness in the life of a believer. They are as follows:

1. SIN

The first cause of spiritual nakedness in the life of a believer is sin. When a believer commits sin, it opens the door for the devil to come in and strip you naked spiritually.

You can take an example from our first parents (Adam and Eve). When they were in the Garden of Eden and enjoying the presence and fellowship with God, they were spiritually covered by the glory of God.

The moment they committed sin, they were stripped of that glory and became ordinary people, prone to the attacks of the devil. As a result of sin, they lost the glory of God and were placed in a state of spiritual nakedness, which was the first fall of man, giving room to curses and suffering.

2. DIS-ALIGNMENT:

The second top cause of spiritual nakedness is dis-alignment. When a Christian loses the Spirit of God, or breaks the hedge that separates a child of God from a sinner, such a person will experience spiritual nakedness – which was born as a result of our carelessness, lack of faith, etc.

In this case, such a child of God can redeem themselves by returning to the Lord in meekness and fullness of heart.

3. THE DEVIL:

The last but not the least cause of spiritual nakedness is the devil. The Bible warns us about our adversary, who walks around as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour. The devil’s mission in the life of every believer is to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10)

Once he finds a Christian, he attacks them with evil forces which will cause spiritual nakedness and bring an opportunity for him to inflict pain and sorrow in the life of such a believer.

The devil will tempt you as a child of God to sin in order to gain legal authority over your life. This is why we must never give place to the devil and rebuke him in whatever shape or form he might come.

Some of the indicators of a child of God who has been placed in a state of spiritual nakedness include:

1. SHAME:

One of the top indicators that a child of God has been placed in a state of spiritual nakedness is shame. This may include inadequacy, self-doubt, double-mindedness.

All of these things will come in as a coordinated attempt of the devil to weaken the mind of such Christian, paralyze their authority, before finally taking prey of such Christian.

2. FAILURE

Another top evidence of spiritual nakedness in the life of a believer is failure on every side, and lack of favour. This ushers such believer into suffering, sorrow, and heartache.

3. SLAVERY

When a child of God is spiritually naked, they are introduced to a life of captivity both physically and spiritually. Such a Christian will be unable to exercise their dominion in Christ and will face constant attacks from the kingdom of darkness.

Dear child of God, are you going through the nasty experience of spiritual nakedness? Don’t lose hope! There is a solution for you.

The tested and proven method of overcoming spiritual nakedness is the power and anointing of the Spirit of God.

In the name of Jesus, I join my faith with that of the fathers of faith, and I decree by the Spirit, may the season of spiritual nakedness end in your life now in Jesus’ name!

May the Lord who clothes the flowers of the field clothe you with new garments of glory in Jesus’ name!

May the strongholds and attack of the enemy over your life break in Jesus’ name!

The Bible says whosoever the Son of God sets free is free indeed. By the mercy, grace, and anointing of God, I set you free from spiritual nakedness in Jesus’ name!

You are free in Jesus’ name!

Yet to give your life to Christ? Say this prayer and mean it from the depth of your heart:

“Almighty God, I come before you in the name of Jesus. Lord, I confess that I am a sinner and ask for your mercy.”

“I pray that you cancel my name from the book of death, and write my name in the book of life. Give me power to sin no more and grace to live a Christian life.”

“I decree that the yoke of sin is broken over my life, and I accept Jesus into my life as Lord and Savior.”

“I am a child of God.”
