Daniel rids every Christian of every excuse that validates living a mediocre or un-impactful life.
Daniel was a man that proves that we can be a jack of all trades and Master at all.
In today’s blogspot, we shall be exploring the various accreditations of Daniel and learning how we can replicate his results in our Christian life.
Daniel was an Israelite who was brought captive into the land of Babylon at a very young age, along with others.
The first thing we learn about Daniel, even at a young age is that he has a heart which was perfect towards God.
The Bible shows us how he purposed in his heart that he will never defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat. (Daniel 1:8)
He went against the stipulated laws and Authority in order to preserve his consecration to God even when he didn’t need to.
We must understand that Daniel was not the only person brought from Israel, however, he and a few other notable Jewish children decided to honour God by not defiling themselves with the portion of the king’s meat – settling for pulse(vegetables) instead.
The first thing we learn from Daniel is preserving our devotion and dedication to God even in difficult times.
The accreditations of Daniel are enormous. In one lifetime, he was titled a man with an excellent spirit of God, a man of knowledge and understanding, gifted in the interpretation of dreams, showing of hard sentences and dissolving doubts in the heart of men. (Daniel 5:12)
He was also one man who managed to be at the top of his political career throughout the rulership of three different kings.
Somehow he managed to maintain his influence, while commanding an accurate prophetic ministry as he foretold the coming of Christ.
We even find our Lord Jesus Christ referring to him as prophet Daniel in the scriptures. (Matthew 24:15), which makes him a worthy model of study for every young child of God.
In today’s world, where people are made to believe we can’t have it all – it’s always either a career or a ministry, a family or career, this or that – Daniel is proof that we can have it all in Christ.
You might be asking, how can one be able to command such unilateral grace of God? How can one possess this spirit of excellence? How can one replicate the outstanding results and accreditations of Daniel?
I’ll tell you for free.
The tested, proven and recommended method of accessing this grace is to look on to those who have gone ahead. (Isaiah 51:2 ) And learn how they obtained the promise.
Below are some of the things we learn about Daniel through his journey with God.
1. He had an uncompromising heart throughout his journey with God. He remained at the feet of God, and stood for him regardless of the situation or opposition.
When Daniel was brought captive to Babylon, he had reason to despise God and even forsake him. However, his heart remained uncompromising, unwavering and decisive.
And as a result he was able to achieve a high level of excellence, rulership, and authority – even in a strange land.
This means that if we want to command the realities of Daniel, we cannot be lukewarm or fickle in our relationship, devotion and consecration to God.
We must settle it for a fact in our hearts and choose to love God, obey his will and live our lives for him.
Only then can we open ourselves to the opportunity of living the excellent life of Daniel.
2. The gift and grace of God:
The life of Daniel shows us that without the grace of God, we can do nothing. Without God’s backing, we can never command the gifts and graces given to Daniel.
It is only God who gives an excellent spirit, understanding, knowledge, interpretation of dreams, courage, and the various qualities Daniel enjoyed throughout his ministry on earth.
Note: All of these gifts were given to Daniel as a result of his genuine and passionate richness towards God.
3. Total consecration to God.
The life of Daniel is evidence of what God can do with a man consecrated to him.
Daniel dared destiny for God. He entered the Lions den, and the Bible stated no one could find an occasion (fault) with Daniel unless it concerns the laws of his God.
Daniel took his relationship with God as a love affair, praying ceaselessly and never doing anything to grieve the spirit of God.
He drew so close to God that God showered his blessings upon him and made him attain a standard of all round excellence that could only be credited to the hand of God.
Daniel is evidence that truly, the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree and shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon, that brings forth his fruits in his season, And whatsoever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 92:12)
Are you looking to be like Daniel? God is the answer. He is all you will ever need to become an all round excellent person.
Yet to give your life to Christ?
Say this word and mean it from the depths of your heart.
“Almighty God. I come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. I confess I am a sinner and I confess all my sins to you.”
“I pray that you come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior, cancel my name from the book of death, write my name in the book of life.”
“Give me power to sin no more and give me grace to live for you in Jesus name. Amen.”
If you said this prayer, congratulations! The host of heaven is rejoicing with you!
