God’s thoughts towards us are of good and not of evil. He seeks to bring us to our expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Do you know that it is possible to abort God’s plans and visions for you?
It is important to hear from God before we embark on any journey of life. Much more than hearing God correctly, it’s important to know what to do after hearing or receiving a word from Him regarding our lives and destiny.
We must go beyond just hearing God’s voice and press to learn how to engage God’s words and force them to bear fruit in our lives.
In today’s blog post, we shall be learning a few points of action we must take after obtaining a word or promise from God.
1. WRITE THE VISION:
The first thing you should do as a child of God who desires to see the word of God made manifest in your life (be it the revealed word of God or written word) is to write it down.
The Bible admonishes us to write down the vision and make it plain, to enable us to run when we see it. (Habakuk 2:2)
Writing down visions, goals, or dreams is a surefire way of attaching importance, life, validity, and longevity to that word.
A wise person once said the faintest ink is better than the sharpest memory. Has God said something to you? Maybe he told you of a vision or a promise? Write it down.
Write down that vision. Visit it from time to time. Refresh yourself, draw grace and faith from God’s word, and believe His promise to you can never fall to the ground.
When you do this, God will see your faith and commitment to Him, and He will surely bring His word/promise to pass.
2. PRAY OVER IT DAILY:
It’s not enough to write down the vision and meditate over it daily. We must not be ignorant of the devil’s devices.
Our adversary, the devil, comes only to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10) And beside every open door, word, or promise from God, the adversary is there, ready to oppose, resist, and hinder the careless and prayerless believer. (1 Corinthians 16:9)
Has God given you a word? Give Him no rest until He establishes His promise in your life. (Isaiah 62:7)
Put on your priestly regalia and fight the good fight of faith. Bind the devil, rebuke him and his cohorts, raze down the manipulators, and insist on receiving the promise God has given you.
Never stop until you are walking in the reality of God’s promises and answered prayers.
3. WORK TOWARDS IT:
Faith without works is dead. (James 2:17) While we write and meditate on the vision, and pray earnestly about it, we must also work towards its fruition.
This might look like setting up a plan by the Spirit of God, taking actionable steps required to get you the desired results, and consistently implementing.
If God has given you a vision for your life, career, or destiny, it is your responsibility to contribute your hard work and diligence towards making it a reality.
Go for that interview, write that blog post, record that music. Do your due diligence.
Remember, the Bible says, having done all to stand, stand therefore. (Ephesians 6;13) Which means it’s only when you’ve done all, that God complements your efforts and crowns them with glory.
I pray that God grants us grace to implement these steps and walk in the reality of God’s promises in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Yet to give your life to Jesus? Say this prayer and mean it from the depth of your heart.
“Lord Jesus, I come to You as a sinner. I confess my sins and ask for Your mercy. I surrender my soul, spirit, and body to You. I pray that You cleanse me and be my Lord and Savior. The yoke of sin, Satan, and the grave is hereby broken in my life. I am a child of God. Amen.”
If you said that prayer, congratulations! Welcome to the Kingdom. There is joy in heaven!
