Sacrifice is the ultimate proof of love.

God has shown us, through His sacrifice of His Son Jesus, that when we love something or someone, we are moved to sacrifice things to nurture or protect that person, thing, or relationship (John 3:16).

God loved the world so much that He gave all He had—His only begotten Son, Jesus—to die for our sins.

And Christ demonstrated His love in that while we were still sinners, He died for us. (Romans 5:8) The Bible testifies that no greater love has been shown than one who laid down his life for us. (John 15:13)

This goes on to mean that if we profess to love God, as children of God, it is important we show and measure our love for Him by the sacrifices we make for His glory.

One of man’s most prized possessions is time. In this chaotic and busy world, while we all try to measure up in life and destiny, there can be a lot of things placing a demand on our time, even as believers.

If we say we truly love God, can we defend that love? Can we sacrifice our time, money, and attention for His glory? Can we abandon the many things that demand our time and truly place God first?

The devil will always try to steal you away from the presence of God. This is because he knows what we stand to gain in the presence of God.

When we fall prey to the devil, he begins to engage us—our time—and makes it seem as though twenty-four hours is barely enough to carry out the things we ought to do.

He influences our thinking with the end goal of placing God at the bottom of our priorities, which is never the will of God.

The Bible commands us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and every other thing shall be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).

The above scripture paints a picture of God’s perspective and stance in seeking Him—which has been and will always be to seek Him first.

God is not mocked, and whatsoever a man sows, that he shall reap (Galatians 6:7). We are called to place God as the utmost priority. This means we should be committed to building a prosperous relationship with God above everything else.

The topic ‘Dear Christian, are you truly busy?’ is a call for sober reflection on our relationship with God.

The excuse of many who profess to be Christians and yet have a non-existent or bare-minimum relationship with God is the lack of time.

The lack of time to properly seek God, obey Him, be about His business, and do His will. The phrase “I’m busy” has become widely used to justify the mediocre and lukewarm relationship many believers have with God today.

And as a result, God is not happy. God aims to bring His perspective in today’s discussion through this blog post. Go through these questions and prayerfully answer them by the Spirit.

Dear Christian, are you truly busy?

Too busy to serve God?
Too busy to fellowship with Him?
Too busy to seek His face and do His will?
Are you truly busy?

What are the things that occupy your time?
(List them in your heart or write them out as you move forward to answer these important questions.)

Are they superior to God?
Are they more important than the One who loved and died for you?
Is God that insignificant to you?
Do you truly love God?

Again, are you truly busy?

We should prayerfully answer these questions and make amends where necessary. For some of us, this is a call for deep repentance.

This is a call to do better, seek the face of God, and make things right with Him.

Many Christians have grieved the Holy Ghost by their lackadaisical approach toward God, and others have lost His presence entirely.

It is time to return.

Remember, the Bible says the Lord is with us while we are with Him. He will honor those who honor Him, and He will forsake as many who forsake Him.

Life and death have been presented before us. The Bible urges us to choose life and live.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.

Choose Jesus today.

Choose Him over your goals, desires, career, and pursuits. Place Him first and watch Him make all things work together for your good.

Our God is more than deserving of your praise, love, and attention. A day spent in the house of God is better and greater than years spent elsewhere.

Treasure your quiet time with God. Be consecrated, committed, and consistent with Him. You will never regret it.

For as many who have veered off the track and allowed the wiles of this world to choke their consecration to God or perhaps looking to join this supernatural kingdom of God and his Christ, say this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I repent of every sin and all the ways I have despised and abandoned Your grace. I return to You today with a sober heart, and I pray that You forgive me, cleanse me, grant me the grace to put off excuses, live a Christian life, and place You first in everything moving forward. In Jesus’ name.”

“I pray that Satan’s dominion is broken over me, and I am a child of God.”

Amen.

If you said that prayer, congratulations! God is happy with you. And if this is your first time saying such a prayer, congratulations too! Welcome to the Kingdom.

God bless you, my friends, and happy Easter celebration.
