If you’ve read my previous articles, you will notice a pattern of information regarding the devil’s plots to keep you in darkness, which is the absence of light and lack of knowledge.

However, in today’s entry, we hope to paint a picture of what God expects from us by the help of the Spirit.

Join me in this quick prayer:

“Lord, we pray that You open our eyes, minds, and hearts, expound our knowledge, and give us grace to overcome the devil and implement this in our daily lives. This we pray In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.”

The topic of faith is one of the most talked about discourses in the body of Christ. The Bible explains faith as the evidence of things ‘not seen’ – Hebrews 11:1. It is the substance and power behind our belief in the existence of God and His sacrifice of His Son, Jesus.

I could go on and on about the meaning of faith, but that is not the central theme of today’s teaching. In this message, we shall focus on why we must approach everything with faith as a child of God.

We must understand that our basic programming after accepting Jesus’ lordship over our lives is to begin our faith walk with God, just like our father Abraham, who began his journey of faith with God after hearing from Him.

When we become a child of God, we begin our journey in God like our father Abraham, who heard the voice of God asking him to leave all he knew and head to an unknown destination. (Genesis 12:1-4)

Abraham had a plethora of reasons he might have disobeyed, become skeptical, hesitant, or unwilling to take that leap of faith, but he obeyed. And in his fearless obedience came the blessings of God in his life. (Genesis 24:1)

Deep dive on Abraham’s calling, God’s promise, and the fulfillment of said promise with the following Scriptures: Genesis 12, 18, 21, 22, 24.

God is calling you to take a leap of faith in your relationship with Him, career, academics, or anything you have been trusting and believing God for in whatever season of life you might be in.

What is holding you back from trusting God and obeying His counsel?

For many people, the answer is fear. Some Christians are willing and ready to obey God’s counsel and voice but sometimes get held back by fear—

That gripping feeling projected by the enemy (Satan) to keep you bound and unable to manifest the purposes of God.

Fear can make you hold back, doubt yourself, and have a double-minded approach to things.

And the Bible says that a double-minded person is unstable in all his ways – James 1:8 , which makes for an unfulfilled Christian experience in the life of an unsuspecting child of God.

We must remember that as a man thinks, so he is – Proverbs 23:7. The devil seeks to limit man using his mind and make us think that we cannot do anything, thereby limiting what God can do in and through us.

The Bible says with God all things are possible, and we can of our own selves do nothing – Matthew 19:26, John 5:30. This means that our ability to carry out our divine assignment hinges on our faith in the God who can do all things.

When the devil attacks us, he attacks our minds, which produces unbelief and thereby closes the door to the divine ability of God.

Note: Some people want to obey God. They fear God, but because of their track record of failures, pain, and bad decisions, they are unable and afraid of trusting themselves.

The devil uses their past failures to stop them from moving forward with God, making them double-minded and unable to trust themselves and, by extension, God, even while they profess Him.

Many times in the Bible, we see God admonishing the people against fear – Isaiah 41:10. This is because God cannot be glorified in a fearful atmosphere.

Today, God is speaking again—fear not!

God wants you to approach everything with a heart filled with faith in Him and His ability to make all things—including the good, bad, and ugly—work together for your good.

God wants us to banish fear in whatever shape, form, or size it has taken in our lives and pray in the spirit of faith of our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.

Are you ready to step into a realm of champions? Say this prayer:

“Lord, by Your Spirit, I banish every spirit of fear, anxiety, torment, and double-mindedness from my life in Jesus’ name.”

“I obtain freedom from every captivity and bondage of fear in Jesus’ name.”

“I obtain fresh grace and power to exercise faith in God and His abilities in Jesus’ name.”

“Lord, increase my faith. Give me the faith of our father Abraham and teach me to depend and trust solely on You.”

“Spirit of faith! Possess me in Jesus’ name!”

If you said those prayers and meant them from the depth of your heart, congratulations! Welcome to the winning team, a realm of limitless possibilities with God.

I pray that the Lord’s arm strengthens you and makes you the exact picture of who He has ordained you to become before the world began. Amen.
