“Psalm 62:11 – God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.”

All power belongs to God.

Satan is a joker. He only aims to substitute our faith with fear by dancing around still waters so it appears troubled.

Matthew 8:23-27 – “23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. 24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 So the men marvelled, saying, [a]“Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

When Jesus is in your boat, you will understand that it takes one rebuke to drive the devil and his cohorts far from your life. One powerful rebuke and the devil will flee like the loser he is.

As Christians, God has given us power over the devil and his whims. He has also assured us that nothing shall by any means hurt us. Luke 10:19 – Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

We must understand that though trials and temptations will come, he has given us the power to overcome the world. (John 16:33) Therefore, the perspective you should have as a child of God is that no matter the situation, you are fighting from victory’s side.

The battle is already won. (John 19:30) All you have to do is claim/possess your victory through Jesus and by faith. Only then shall you be able to walk experientially in the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Many a time, when we are faced with difficult situations, the devil tries to magnify them, hoping to sabotage our faith and plunge us into the fiery pits of unbelief and fear. He even makes us doubt God’s power and ability to take these burdens away.

We must therefore be vigilant and refuse to be deceived by the enemy. (1 Peter 5:8) We must return to the Lord in trying times through intensive prayers and supplications, study of the word and word-based acts of faith in order to renew our strength and produce outstanding results from our walk with God.

Note – Before anything takes place or manifests in the believer’s life, God has revealed it before time. And it is our duty as responsible believers to pray about it.

When we pray, the Lord has promised to answer. Which gives us an advantage and makes us fight from the side of victory. (Psalm 50:15, John 14:14)

Instead of panicking and hindering the move of God by unbelief, we must put on our battle regalia and pray ourselves out of that tight corner. We must pray without ceasing. In so doing, we are able to overcome the fiery darts of the enemy.

The devil has no power. It is your duty to bind and cast him to hell where he belongs. Do not relent in prayers. Be courageous. Take up your battle axe, pray and engage with wisdom and understanding. (Jeremiah 51:20)

You can never be defeated.

May God help us, increase our faith, and give us rest from all the enemies and battles that encompass us in Jesus’s Name. Amen. (2 Samuel 7:1)
